PROFILE
Craig first became fascinated with the photographic arts as a teenager in Council Bluffs, Iowa as a high school student. From there, Craig went onto study photography at MIT in Milwaukee and earning an AAS degree. Next came Ohio University where Craig got a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography. Over the next 30 plus years, he has continued to explore every aspect of the photographic arts, from film based still photography, to total digital specializing in black & white photographic fine art.
Out of a world with infinite mosaics and their multicolored tiles, I attempt to isolate that singular second that defines the ‘moment’ of an image, simply and without extra or competing elements. This happens best when I am drawn to a very specific vantage point in time and space. The harmonies seem to parallel the images of mind and spirit, from which I must be mercilessly selective. In the eye of the beginner there are many possibilities; in the eye of the expert there are only a few.
